Rangers left-back pair Jefte and Ridvan Yilmaz will be looking over their shoulders at Ibrox come the summer.
US investment is set to pour into Rangers with pundit Roger Hannah predicting a turnover at Rangers the likes of which we’ve never seen before.
As part of that, Rangers’ underperforming defence is firmly in the spotlight with left-back an area earmarked by supporters which needs improvement.
With Jefte linked to Chelsea and Ridvan Yilmaz linked to Turkey, both players could be on the move before a ball is kicked next season.
And one Rangers-linked former Premier League talent has just admitted it ‘hurts’ to be out of the game after becoming embroiled in off-field issues.
Rangers-linked Brandon Williams hunting for new club
Rangers were linked with Brandon Williams back in the summer as the now 24-year-old ex-Manchester United star weighed up his options.
After being released by United, the left-back had been tipped to join newly promoted Ipswich Town but couldn’t get his act together off the field for Kieran McKenna to take the plunge.
In an honest interview with Ben Foster’s Fozcast podcast, Williams claims it ‘hurts’ to watch football matches with the left-back currently without a club.
“I go into this mode where I just don’t care,” Williams said.
“I have this switch where I don’t care what happens. They [family and friends] wanted me to get back to football but they could see I’d fallen out of love with.
“It hurts me watching football now because I just want to be there, I just want to play. I miss being in a team, on the coach, travelling to games, having meals together and just doing things.”
The left-back claims that he’s had plenty of offers across the globe but not the right one as he looks to leave off-field troubles behind him.
As Williams assess his options, he admits he’s open to trying something different with Rangers certainly and option that could tempt the left-back.
“I want to have that feeling again of winning and being around the changing room environment,” Williams said.
“I’ve had loads of teams trying to get me out – America, Europe and England – but I haven’t been ready. I want to go somewhere 100% focused and kick on.
