Gary Neville has made a new admission about Rangers from his playing days at Manchester United.
The former right-back made 600 appearances for Man United over the years, which included playing against Rangers in the Champions League.
European nights at Ibrox are famous for their atmosphere, and it was loud again as Rangers drew 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.
Speaking ahead of that game, Neville heaped praise on Rangers fans at Ibrox, and revealed that it is one of the best atmospheres he has ever played in.

Neville’s appearance against Rangers at Ibrox
Neville’s appearance against Rangers at Ibrox came in October 2003, as the Gers welcomed Man United to Glasgow in the Champions League group stages.
Alex McLeish faced off with Alex Ferguson, and there were star names on both sides, with Mikel Arteta and Peter Lovenkrands among the starters for Rangers, while Cristiano Ronaldo was on the bench for Man United.
Gary’s brother Phil scored the only goal of the game, as McLeish’s side fell to a 1-0 defeat despite dominating the game, and would go on to finish bottom of the group, while Man United would go on to lose to eventual champions Porto.
Despite the result, it was clearly a memorable atmosphere at Ibrox, given Neville’s strong praise for the fans on the day.
The former England star had played nearly 700 professional games for club and country across the world, but very few lived up to the atmosphere he experienced at Rangers that day.
