Rangers on left-sided defender transfer hunt?

Whilst the snaps give no clue as to the future of Thomas Galdames, the latest comments from Philippe Clement suggest a left-sided defender may still be on the Ibrox club’s summer shopping list.

The Rangers manager has been speaking to the Rangers Review about the Gers’ transfer business this summer.

With the Ibrox side already securing a deal for left-sided centre-back Clinton Nsiala, the Belgian is clear the ex-AC Milan talent is not viewed as an immediate starter.

We have some players who have come in who are longer term, like Clinton Nsiala,” said Clement.

“He has a lot of talent, but he needs the experience and he needs to learn a lot of things. I don’t expect him to be a starting player.”

With the future of Ben Davies the subject of much debate, those Rangers links to Thomas Galdames are certainly ones to watch this summer.
