Rangers appear to be getting fleeced in Morgan Whittaker transfer chase

Gers seem to be at risk of overpaying for Whittaker in their pursuit of the Plymouth winger.

The initial bid, worth over £7million with add-ons was rejected, indicating that Plymouth value Whittaker significantly higher. [Daily Record, 19 July]

The subsequent offer, also turned down, suggests that Plymouth is holding firm on their valuation, potentially pushing the price up to £10 million.

Negotiating a lower fee and structuring the deal to minimize upfront costs could be crucial for Rangers.

They could explore instalment payments, performance-based add-ons, or sell-on clauses to make the deal more financially manageable.

Additionally, exploring alternative targets or utilising existing squad depth could provide leverage in negotiations.
