Lionel Messi and Inter Miami thrown out of CONCACAF Champions Cup by Vancouver Whitecaps

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami’s aspirations for continental glory were dashed as they suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps, culminating in a 5-1 aggregate loss in the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinals. Despite an early lead from Jordi Alba, Inter Miami couldn’t withstand Vancouver’s second-half resurgence. Goals from Brian White, Pedro Vite, and Sebastian Berhalter propelled the Whitecaps to their first-ever final in the tournament.
