Lawrence Shankland transfer update emerges as Rangers set to sign Robin Propper

Rangers see their pursuit of Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland back in the balance after closing in on Robbin Propper, according to the Daily Record.

The Scottish newspaper reported via its website on 1 August that despite raising £4million from the sales of Connor Goldson and Sam Lammers, the £2.5million spent on the FC Twente defender does not guarantee money being there for Shankland.

Gers will have to raise more money from sales if they are to secure new signings ahead of the transfer deadline.

Rangers must prioritise signing Lawrence Shankland or a quality striker

Gers are facing a crucial decision regarding their transfer priorities, particularly focusing on the need for a quality striker like Shankland.

The necessity to prioritise signing a top-tier striker like Shankland cannot be understated

Their recent struggles in front of goal highlight the importance of a reliable and prolific goalscorer.

Shankland’s proven track record in the Scottish Premiership, coupled with his ability to consistently find the back of the net, makes him an ideal candidate to bolster Rangers’ attacking options.

While it is crucial to address all weak positions, the urgent need for a goal-scoring forward like Shankland should be at the forefront of the club’s transfer strategy.

Strengthening the attacking department is paramount to enhancing the team’s competitiveness and increasing their chances of success in domestic and international competitions.

Hopefully, they make significant progress sooner rather than later towards signing a new striker.
