Connor Goldson sees host of clubs show interest amid new Rangers development

Rangers defender Connor Goldson is subject to interest from a host of clubs who are waiting to pounce to sign him, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reported on 23 July via its online edition that the clubs will enter the pray as the 31-year-old failed to reach an agreement with Aris Limassol.

While the Cypriot club are still trying to sign the English centre-back, should talks collapse, Goldson will not be short on suitors.

Connor Goldson’s Rangers exit appears to be set in stone

If not Aris, there are a host of other clubs that are willing to take a punt on Goldson this summer.

He even jetted out to meet with them in person and the fact that it did not happen suggests that an agreement may not be near.

Having failed to reach an agreement despite meeting the player means that Aris would have to do something spectacular in order to sign him.

This development would not impact Rangers as there isn’t a shortage of interest in the 31-year-old centre-back.

It remains to be seen if any of the clubs now end up making a bid for the Englishman as that’s what matters to the Ibrox outfit.

They have made him available for sale but also made him available for selection in pre-season, perhaps to showcase that he’s ready to play first-team football regularly.

Hopefully, a quick resolution emerges with regard to his future and the club reinvest the money wisely.
