No plans currently to register Waghorn as a player for final 8 games.It is believed that the Englishman won’t be registered as a player for County’s last eight games of the campaign, although manager John Eustace hopes his presence in training can help ‘galvanise’ the squad.
Waghorn made 78 appearances across a two-year spell at Ibrox, scoring 44 goals along the way. He departed for Ipswich Town in 2017.
Taking to social media last month, Waghorn announced his decision to retire, which he has now gone back on.
He said: “It’s been an incredible journey.
“I’ve been very fortunate to play for some great clubs in my career and never took that for granted.
“To represent my country at various age groups was always an honour and to also score on my England Uzi debut was such a proud moment.
