Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is giving his squad a couple of days to clear heads ahead of preparation for Luton Town, where more crosses could be another headache for whoever starts in goal.
All season, there has been comparison between Leeds goalkeeping ability in comparison to their promotion rivals Burnley and Sheffield United.
Basic fundamentals of safe shot-stopping and commanding their area has been a major difference that is currently setting the other two well apart in that regard.any other side in the Championship, these routine errors from a goalkeeper would see them axed for the number two, but Illan Meslier’s errs have been granted impunity thus far by Daniel Farke.
However, with Leeds having seen probably double figure points slip through their fingers from one culprit, it comes to a point where Farke avoiding a change is becoming too negligent to accept.
Karl Darlow hasn’t exactly been standout in his rare outings in a Leeds shirt, but has still managed to wrestle control of the Wales number one spot in the meantime, at the age of 34.

Up next for Leeds is a trip to Kenilworth Road, and on paper it’s another ‘favourable’ game in the run-in that Farke’s should be seeing off.
However, you could say the same about Portsmouth away, QPR away and Swansea at home – the run-in brings up surprises every weekend and Leeds are famously a side to be on the wrong end of such a result.
Looking at the Hatters, they have largely been a tragic outfit this season and could be staring at back-to-back relegations, but have given themselves a lifeline with a freak winning own goal at Hull City last time out. Are Matt Bloomfield’s side’s tails back up?
